CRPF Technical/Tradesmen Exam Pattern 2025
Scheme of Examination: (For CT(Technical/Tradesmen) & CT(Pioneer)
Computer-Based Test: The Computer Based Test will consist of one objective type paper containing 100 questions carrying 100 marks, with the following composition:

- The Computer-Based Test (CBT) will consist of Objective Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs).
- The exam will be conducted in English and Hindi only.
- Negative marking of 0.25 marks will be applied for each incorrect answer, so candidates should answer carefully.
- The date and exam center details will be available on the Admit Card, which will be accessible only through the official CRPF website.
- There will be no re-evaluation or re-checking of scores, and any requests regarding the same will not be considered.
- Normalization of marks will be applied, and the final merit list and cut-off marks will be determined based on the normalized scores.
- The level of questions in the CBT will be equivalent to Matriculation (10th standard).
- A mock test link will be provided on the CRPF website in the Candidates' Corner once the Admit Card is released, allowing applicants to get familiar with the exam format.
- Electronic devices like calculators and gadgets are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall. Candidates should refrain from bringing them.
CRPF Tradesmen and Technical Syllabus 2025
The syllabus for the Examination will be as follows:
1. General Intelligence and Reasoning
This section will assess candidates on analytical thinking and the ability to recognize and differentiate patterns, primarily through non-verbal questions. Topics covered include:
- Analogies, similarities, and differences
- Spatial visualization and orientation
- Visual memory and discrimination
- Observation and relationship concepts
- Arithmetical reasoning and number series
- Figural classification, non-verbal series, coding, and decoding
2. General Knowledge and Awareness
This section evaluates the candidate’s awareness of their surroundings and current events. Questions will cover topics related to:
- India and its neighboring countries
- Sports, history, culture, and geography
- Economic developments and general policies
- The Indian Constitution
- Scientific research and day-to-day science applications
No specialized study in any particular subject is required for this section.
3. Elementary Mathematics
This segment will test basic mathematical skills, including:
- Number systems and numerical computations
- Decimals, fractions, and their relationships
- Fundamental arithmetic operations
- Percentages, ratio & proportion, and averages
- Profit & loss, interest, and discounts
- Mensuration, time & distance, time & work, and related topics
4. English/Hindi Language
This section will assess the candidate’s basic comprehension and understanding of either English or Hindi, based on their choice. The focus will be on reading, vocabulary, and grammar skills.

Physical Standard Test (PST) : Candidates shortlisted for PST will be asked to go through biometric verification followed by PET/Trade Test. Physical Standards for the post of Constable (Technical/Tradesmen) are as follows.

Trade Test :
- Candidates will be shortlisted for Trade Test from the pool of candidates who qualify in CBT, PST and PET.
- Trade test, will be conducted through practical assessment and will be qualifying in nature. Out of 50 marks for practical Trade Test, a candidate must secure 20 marks to qualify.
- During Trade test, a candidate will be asked to perform any activity pertaining to that particular trade/post for which he/she has appeared/applied. The parameters for each trade/post will be as under:-
